Job description
As an Infrastructure engineer you work at IDEA-X group for Pixelfarming Robotics, among others. You will be working in a data-intensive environment, where performance and capacity require continuous attention. To take this to the next level, we are looking for infrastructure specialists who understand servers and storage, who can convert performance requirements into specifications and who can fulfill them. You know your way around firewalls and network security and you can think along in cold and hot storage solutions. Infra knowledge, therefore, applied for our data processing. You start in a small team of technical doers. You are the infrastructure specialist or you have the ambition to become the specialist in the team. You are the point of contact for data storage, WiFi, bandwidth optimization, server connections, continuity (Backup/Restore) and security. You have knowledge of Microsoft Server products, Office365, SQL Server, Linux, load-balancing and distributed networks. The work mainly takes place from the office, or from one of the hosting locations (Haarlem/Amsterdam). In addition to managing and optimizing the infrastructure, you play an important role in further improving and expanding the current infrastructure. Of course you work ‘agile’ and you are able to deal with changes and new insights. Above all, you take pride in creating well-functioning solutions that help our customers achieve their goals.
Your tasks
- You manage the current infrastructure and are called in in case of calamities
- You are responsible for developing capacity requirements for technical solutions
- You are a source of information for colleagues for infrastructure projects
- You perform management tasks and give advice to ensure continuity
- You communicate clearly and unambiguously to clients and stakeholders,
- You strive to learn something new every day!
Job requirements
- You have completed an MBO (level 4) ICT or a BA or MBA education
- You have 4 years of relevant work experience
- You have knowledge of Microsoft Server products, certification is an advantage
- You have knowledge of firewalls, storage (NAS/SAN), Wifi
- Excellent in Dutch and English language in word and writing
- You like to work with others but also like to work independently
- You are result oriented and action driven
- You have a driving license (B) and you are fun to work with!
