Job description

As a mechanical engineer at Pixelfarming Robotics you start in a small team of technical doers. You are responsible for the design, development and improvement of advanced technical solotions. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with other engineers under which software engineers, embedded engineers, electronics engineers and other specialists to create Robots for Future Farmers.

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for developing ideas into technical solutions;
  • You work in Sprints and communicate the progress to the project manager or lead;
  • When creating new functions, you use existing parts where possible;
  • You test your own builds and ensure that a teammate can test along;
  • You communicate clearly and unambiguously to clients and stakeholders,
  • You strive to learn something new every day!

Desired skills

  • You completed a BA or MBA education or you act at thinking and working level.
  • Expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion360 to create 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques, and mechanical components such as motors, gears, belts, and bearings.
  • Proficiency in performing strength calculations, simulations and analysis of mechanical systems.
  • Experience working on design challenges such as weight reduction, stiffness optimization and ergonomics.
  • Understanding of regulations and standards related to mechanical design, such as safety regulations and product certifications including CE.
