The Pixelfarming Robotics Internship programme is intended to shape the next generation of gamechanging engineers who will use their skills to solve the problems of tomorrow. We are not looking for passive learners, but for ambitious students in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, AI and software engineering who want to build, challenge assumptions, and take ownership. This is an environment where initiative is expected, ideas are tested in reality, and learning happens through doing.
At the start of the internship you will be given a subject or a problem. The first weeks you will spend exploring ideas.
At the end of this phase you will have built a prototype that proves that your idea could work.
During the second phase you will start making a real prototype based on the learnings of your first idea.
At the end of this phase you will have built a prototype that performs the basic functions as required by your plan.
The final stage is charactarised by finetuning, documentation and transfering your project to others.
At the end you will have completed your internship with 2 or 3 prototypes and a project that you can be proud of.
This internship is not built around predefined tasks or a traditional waterfall approach. Instead, you will work in a dynamic, iterative process where ideation, rapid prototyping, and continuous improvement are central. You are encouraged to think boldly, test early, and learn from failure — fast.
Working at Pixelfarming Robotics means contributing to real-world agricultural robotics systems that aim to create healthy food from healthy soil in a beautiful world. You will operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and intelligence, collaborating across disciplines to turn concepts into tangible solutions.
We treat this programme as a pathway to long-term collaboration. Throughout your internship, you will be challenged to grow not only technically, but also in ownership, decision-making, and responsibility. The expectation is high: you take initiative, communicate clearly, and push your work forward independently while staying aligned with the team.
