Raised among tractors and agricultural machines at his father’s mechanisation company, Bas developed a passion for agri-tech early on. During his studies in Agricultural Business and Technology, he interned at Pixelfarming Robotics, igniting his passion for innovation. After a Master’s in Biosystems Engineering at Wageningen University, Bas returned as a Field Engineer. With a strong technical foundation and a farmer’s mindset, he’s driven to help growers successfully integrate robotics into their daily operations.

Jens played a key role in the early development of Robot Zero, the prototype that laid the foundation for Robot One. With deep roots in the project and a background in mechanical engineering, he knows every nut and bolt of Robot One like the back of his hand. Today, Jens leads the mechanical design, combining experience and precision to continuously improve the robot’s performance in the field.

Luuk is a natural-born tinkerer with a passion for understanding how things work. Whether he’s fine-tuning his car on the weekend or optimizing cutting-edge agricultural robotics during the week, his hands-on mindset never rests. As a Robot One operator, Luuk fearlessly visits clients, solving problems on the spot and implementing smart improvements that push technology forward in the field.

Dating from the time of analog electronics, Nico brings decades of experience to the field of electrical engineering. As a young man, he worked for local farmers, laying the groundwork for his deep understanding of agricultural needs. After earning his bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and IT, he spent 25 years working across the industry before joining Pixelfarming Robotics. Today, Nico is responsible for the electrical systems and components of Robot One. Known for his down-to-earth attitude and sharp problem-solving skills, he tackles every challenge with confidence and precision.

Thomas’s passion for machines and mechanics runs deep—and it’s in his blood. His family has been a fixture in the local agricultural sector since 1989, selling, renting, and maintaining equipment from leading brands. While studying to become a mechanical engineer, Thomas joined Pixelfarming Robotics and quickly immersed himself in the evolution of Robot One. Since 2023, he’s been involved with every iteration of the robot, combining hands-on experience with technical knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
